Happy Trails!

From Maine, to Arkansas, to Florida and everywhere in between...
Here's just a few of the Pastors, friends, and family that we were able to see and visit with on this trip.

Missions Conference in Crossroads Baptist Church, Columbus NC
Pastor Nathan Deatrick

Pastor John Burns from Wyoming (We saw them in PA though)

Ass. Pastor Jim Davidson, Faith Baptist Church Morgantown, WV

Grandma Deatrick made a trip out to see us (mostly the new grand-baby).

Pastor Randy McKee, Calvary Baptist Church Graneville, NY

"Super Storm Sandy"

While visiting Bethel Baptist Fellowship in NY,
we stayed with the Jackey family in NJ.
The Lord had it timed for us to be there during 'Sandy'.

Everyone pitched in to help clean up.

A church get-together at  LBC

We saw three of our 4 grandmothers on this trip.
We were in NC during Thanksgiving and were able to see (Naomi's) Grandma Tate.

The Riley Family in MS

The Kamphefners drove four hours one way to see us.

Bro. Rob Wilson is the Pastor of the Spanish people at
Cleburne County Baptist Church, AR

'Uncle' Jim Baker

(Matt's) Grandma Shields

Bro. Ralph Hayes

Hno. Pepe Ramirez, Pastor of Iglesia Bautista Maranatha, FL

We're grateful that it worked out for us to stop by
and see (Matt's) Gran Lewis on Christmas on our way back to TX.

This is only a small percentage of the people that we saw while travelling over these past few months.  Each and every one that we came into contact with was a blessing to us in some way.  We appreciate the love we were shown through such kindness, interest in us and the ministry, generosity, and hospitality.
May God bless each of you as you serve Him.

To finish out the trip.....
Here we are trying to get the van out of the mud at
Gran's house Christmas Evening.
The tires were up to the hubs in mud because of the
amount of rain and weight in the van.

We're finally headed home though!

Mercy Elizabeth 8/6/12

Helping out Crossroads Baptist Church with their part in the
community fall festival.
We had the opportunity to witness to three Mexican families that we met.

(We have a tree hugger!)

Mercy has smiled upon us!

Pastor Phillips and his family kept the kids so we could have a date
one afternoon in downtown Charleston.
(Still as 'young' and in love as ever!)

Visiting the Aquarium

Ooops!

We appreciate your continued prayers as we continue to travel.  We've enjoyed our time and being with many of you.  We miss home and our people and would appreciate your continued prayers for them as well. God bless.

Mid-June to Mid-July

Finishing our Anniversary meetings and Father's Day

The las night of our 6th Anniversary conference in Iglesia Bautista Victoria

Some of the members of the Rondalla Paraiso reunited once again to come sing for us.

To finish out our conference we had a picnic and service outdoors and celebrated Father's day as well.

Even though it was Father's day the men have to have their hand in the grilling!

The closing service

What a beautiful place to have a meeting!

A sack race for the dads.

The four in front are the winners.  The puple hippo was the first place prize; the man that won it is Raul who just got saved during the special meetings.

Another way to have fun.

Ready to flip.

How high?

Or how low?

A Visit from Faith Baptist Church in WV

Helping paint the new building in Luis Moya.

Bro. Jim preaching in Victoria.

Their instrumental and vocal specials were a blessing to all of us.

Making packets that they helped pass out later.

The New Building in Luis Moya

What a blessing it is to have a new building that fits us.  The auditorium, although doesn't seat too many more than the old one, is much more accomodating.  And the classrooms are much bigger; we were bursting at the seams in the old classrooms.

The Auditorium (before)

(after) - It's amazing what a little (or a lot of) paint will do!
Ryan and Claudia painted the verses and the details.

(Foced rest time because of health issues- but the Lord's in control of that too!)

The kids first 4th of July in the States!
Sitting on the van watching fireworks with Papi.

We found some clown things for kids ministries at a garage sale.

Judah fell in love with this wig.

Although we went when the older ones were younger, none of them remembered ever going to the zoo either.  They really enjoyed seeing all of the animals.

We've had the opportunity to do several activites with the kids that we normally don't have the time to do.  Although we don't understand why we are here, we have decided to take advantage of the time with the family!  Thank the Lord that He's in control of everything ... and praying we can still be home within a week!

We appreciate your prayers.
